Janhvi Kapoor Faces Backlash Over Peddi

On October 30, 2026, in Mumbai, actor Janhvi Kapoor sparked massive online outrage. Telugu film fans are heavily trolling her.

Her recent chat show remarks about Ram Charan’s blockbuster hit Peddi caused this storm. Janhvi admitted her character’s portrayal involved extreme objectification. She confessed she should have spoken up against the director instead of silently following orders.

However, regional audiences strongly object to her explanation. Netizens accused the Bollywood star of cleverly shifting blame onto the Southern film unit while playing the victim card. Furious fans quickly dug up old clips. They called out double standards across her filmography.

This social media controversy has reignited fierce debates over on-screen representation and female character framing in modern Indian cinema.
